About us
AFROTO was born in October 2020 from one observation: Africa has highly talented photographers and videographers, yet many organisations bring their crews in from elsewhere. We built the opposite path.
Our mission
To be the one-stop shop for organisations that need images in Africa, and to enable the continent's creators to make a living from their craft. You entrust us with your brief; we mobilise an AfroCréateur who lives locally, and our team handles post-production in Dakar.
Our values
Independence
We strengthen the independence of the continent's audiovisual creators.
Skill
We help our AfroCréateurs grow through training and the high standards of every assignment.
Local talent first
African talent must not be underestimated: we put it front and centre.
Recognition
E-takara Prize in Niger. Our founder, Alexandre Bonneau, features in the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list.
Ethical commitment
We refuse any content that demeans Africa. We work on projects that show the continent as it is: rich in history, cultures and potential.
